About

Who are you?

My name is Cami Graves.

this is my face

I chose to become a dietitian because I wanted to educate others on how eating well could affect their whole life, not just weight and appearance. In my time doing outpatient nutrition education and counseling, I learned what I really enjoy is empowering others to eat well by figuring out the unique and practical steps that will work for them. I’ve been learning to meal plan, cook, and generally eat well for myself and my family for 7+ years and it’s something I would like to share with others, so I started nutrition for real humans.

What’s a registered dietitian-nutritionist?

That’s me! Officially, it means I have a bachelor of science degree in applied nutrition, have completed over 1200 hours of nutrition practice under the supervision of more experienced dietitians in a variety of settings, and passed a comprehensive exam to be certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

I also have to complete continuing education to maintain my certification, and I’m qualified to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy. So those are my official credentials

Practically it means I know my nutrition stuff. If there’s stuff I don’t know, I know where and how to look to learn it. And because of my above experience, my specialty is focusing on how that stuff looks in real life.
